MOVING!

Hello :)

I know it's been ages since i've posted anything and I am sorry! I've been so, so busy preparing for move in day!! I moved into my halls of residence yesterday :)

Since I have moved in and am now officially a university student, this blog has become irrelevant as this was to be based around the lead up to my move to university.

Although I didn't have as much time over the summer as I would have liked and so didn't blog as much as I had anticipated or wanted to, I did still enjoy what I did do. For that reason I decided that I would make a new blog to document my years at university, and to continue with the beauty posts i've been enjoying.

So...The Diary of a Soon-to-be Law Student is becoming Lipgloss & Law.

Please check out the new blog which will hopefully be updated much more than this was!

Thanks,
Sophie :)

Review: Schwarzkopf Kids Supersoft Detangling Spray

Ever since I was young, my hair has been hard to brush after washing. While on holiday in France a few years ago, I bought a detangling spray to spray on my hair after washing it to make it easier to brush. When that ran out, I went on the prowl for a similar product available in the UK. I found this Schwarzkopf Kids Supersoft Detangling Spray about a year or so ago and have been using it ever since.

I love this product. Not only does it smell incredible but it works very well. It only takes a few sprays of the product to make my hair very easy and painless to brush. I find that this detangling spray leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth all day which I love. My favourite thing about this product is that the Tropical scent lasts on your hair for hours and leaves it smelling great.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a detangling spray which is gentle on the hair, since it is for children, but works well and smells great.

Review: Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads

For years I have been struggling with bad skin and have been looking for a product which will help prevent breakouts and clear up my skin a little. I have been using the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads for about 6 months or so and I am slightly 'on the fence' about them.

While using this product I didn't notice much of a change in my skin, good or bad. My skin didn't seem to improve dramatically but didn't get any worse either. It wasn't until I stopped using the product that I noticed a difference.

I ran out of these pads about a month and a half ago and didn't buy any more as I wanted to try out some different products. About a week after I had stopped using the pads my skin started to break out quite badly. I don't know if it was just a coincidence that I had a bad break out after running out of this product or if it was the product itself but I have found it to be a common theme that if I don't use the pads for a while, I break out.

I really didn't like the smell of this product. The pads smell very strongly of chemicals which is not what you want to smell before putting it on your face. It is also very harsh on the skin. My skin is sensitive so it doesn't cope well with harsh products and I found that these pads left my skin feeling a little bit sore and tender just after use.

Overall, this product was okay and I may decide to try them out again if I can't find anything that works better.

Review: Batiste Dry Shampoo

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm sure most of you will have used, or at least heard of, the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I have been using this dry shampoo for a few years and have never felt the need to even try many other ones.

I tend to only wash my hair every second day otherwise it becomes very oily and unpleasant looking. Unfortunately, my second day hair is not very pleasant looking either so a good dry shampoo is a must have for me. I find that the Batiste dry shampoo does exactly what I need. It only takes a small amount to make my hair look and feel fresh while other dry shampoos that I have tried have left me looking like I have very bad dandruff as it took a lot of product to receive a good result.

Batiste dry shampoo comes in a range of scents, all of which smell amazing. I find myself having to buy a different scent each time as I can't decide on which scent I like best. The scents picture are Blush and Diva, two very nice but quite different scents. Blush, one of my favourite scents, is a very girly, floral scent while Diva is a more sophisticated, spicy scent.

Batiste dry shampoo is one of my holy grail products which will not be replaced any time soon.

Another Update...

Hello :)

I realise that I have been such a bad blogger recently that I couldn't even keep up with the LOTD series. In all honesty, I didn't really enjoy writing those posts as I didn't feel like they were very interesting to read so I have decided to give up on that series.

However, I have almost all of the next week free and a lot of that time will be spent on this blog so expect normal service to resume. If you have any specific blog posts that you would like to see, please leave me a comment below.

Friday LOTD: Fact or Quote (1)

Hello :)

Recently one of my favourite bloggers Louise, Sprinkle of Glitter, started a new LOTD (Love of the Day) Series and I thought I would give it a go.

On Friday the theme is Fact or Quote.

A few days ago while browsing Pinterest I came across this inspirational quote.

"The trick is to enjoy life. Don't wish away your days waiting for better ones ahead".

I like this quote as it is a more poetic version of 'live life to the fullest' and encourages you to make the most of every day .

Thursday LOTD: Ebay (1)

Hello :)

Recently one of my favourite bloggers Louise, Sprinkle of Glitter, started a new LOTD (Love of the Day) Series and I thought I would give it a go.

On Thursday the theme is Ebay.

I've been on the search for a new phone case recently and Ebay seems to be the only place to find one for under £20. My boyfriends sister recently bought a gorgeous phone case on Ebay and while searching for a similar one I came across this beautiful Minnie Mouse Diamante Iphone Cover. It looks so pretty and at £3.99 it is far cheaper than any other phone case I have bought.
